Pochis Kennels

Sorry to Potential Clients

As of right now any and all females we own are currently retired do to no fault of their own; they all will stay with us as pets. We are not rehoming any of our retired females. We are restructuring our breeding program in the process so please check out our business page on Facebook for updates on our German Shepherd breeding program. We look forward to hearing from you once we are back up and running.

Any available puppies, as well as our retired adult dogs, will be listed through Pochis Kennels.

At Pochis Kennels, we take great pride in our breeding program and the quality of care we provide to each of our dogs and puppies. All of our females are health tested and bred only when they are at the appropriate age and maturity level. Our puppies are whelped and raised inside our home, allowing them to become well-adjusted and comfortable in a family environment from the very beginning.

Because our puppies are raised in a busy household, they are exposed to a variety of everyday sights, sounds, and experiences. They interact with our other dogs and are socialized with friends and family who visit our home. They also become familiar with common household noises and activities such as vacuums, fans, dishes, dishwashers, and kitchen activity. We believe this early exposure helps our puppies transition more confidently and comfortably into their new homes.

Before leaving our home, our puppies are introduced to bathing, grooming, nail trims, and early potty training outdoors. They also learn how to interact appropriately with dogs outside of their litter, become familiar with toys, and begin learning basic boundaries and commands such as “no.” For puppies that will be shipped, crate introduction and desensitization can also be started upon request. If a buyer has a specific crate they would like their puppy trained with, they are welcome to ship it to us prior to pickup or transport.

All puppies are sold with Limited AKC Registration. Full AKC Registration is considered on a case-by-case basis. Puppies approved for Full AKC Registration will initially be sold with Limited Registration until all required health testing has been completed, as outlined in our puppy contract. If we determine that a puppy does not meet our breeding standards, Full AKC Registration will not be granted.

We carefully evaluate each litter and typically select only the puppies we would consider keeping within our own program as candidates for Full AKC Registration. This ensures we continue to uphold the quality, health, structure, and temperament standards that are important to us at Pochis Kennels.
